Background. I downloaded the fall creators build when it came out last year but it killed my dongle and I had no internet connection. I rolled back.
On Sunday my computer suddenly updated to the fall creators build again. Dongle still doesn't work. I rolled back. Monday morning and the update screen is back. I deleted the App 'Windows10upgrade9252' and it went away. Monday night the updater is back but its now called 'Windows10UpgraderApp'. I deleted again. Tuesday morning and hello again its back and I've deleted again.
How can I block this?
Darren
PS Should I uninstal rather than delete? Assuming of course that is an option.

roll it back to a date prior to the update and disable all the updates.
They hide it all over so best if you google it, in services.msc you will find the simpl windows update process, but also tucked away will be more secret ones. Delivery optimisation is another one.
Software distribution folder will contain the update files also.
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\
Or similar..
Had an update on the tablet and oh my, it wont let me install my own software now. Says unknown and unsafe software.. Awful.

Cheers.
I just don't understand how MS can ignore the fact the latest W10 has an issue for some people and just keep pushing it anyway. Surely if someone actually updates and then rolls back that is a big clue that they don't want it.
Ho Hum.

you need to find out why you have no internet connection after the update.
did you run the relevant windows troubleshooter? did you try and update drivers? etc etc
you can't keep rolling back win10 as its only a temp fix. a os needs to update."The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -

This.
Have an ethernet cable ready so you can still get to the drivers when your "dongle" is out of action.
Or alternatively download them ready prior to the update0 -
Why have you typed 'This.' ?
Anyway, I have updated the drivers and spent some time playing about but the Dongle still doesn't work with the latest W10. If a new version comes out this year I can update and try that when it might work. Right now I'm happy with the system I have and don't want the latest s*dding update.
BTW my dongle is mobile broadband so I an ethernet cable won't do any good.

can you get a new dongle from your provider?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
