Front doorstep ideas

Help! I no ideas whatsoever what to do with our front step to look half decent and wonder if anyone can offer any suggestions? Well under a grand ideally!

First thought is to shutter and concrete it to form a better shape, then just tile. But what to do with the step where it meets the driveway? I don't want a thin wedge of concrete built over the tiles and tarmac as it will surely become a weak point. Should I cut the driveway and form the concrete step below the surface level? Or leave the existing line of tiles under there and form something over it?

Should I cut the tiles at the edge of the door frame and leave a thin strip of them under there? The tiles inside the door frame in the porch are going to be removed and replaced with laminate to match the hallway.

What about imprinted concrete?

I'm clueless!
