OP, you could also claim under the Low Income Scheme by submitting a form HC1. Given that many contribution-based benefits start payment at the same rate as income-based based benefits, it's possible you may qualify under this route (though other household income is considered.)0

My bad, didn't know there was one on for ESA - in Wales you don't have to ever look at the back.

From what I have read it seems all Rx are free in Wales, so no need to be concerned with fines on mistaken box ticking. Working or unemployed I think its free.0 -

They are, but many services are cut or restricted in order to pay for these "free" prescriptions.0
