Parking Meters
I bought a 2 hour ticket for £2 on Saturday afternoon after I seen the signs parking only for permit holders, however to my surprise I got an expiry time not 2 hours from that moment in time but till Monday till 10am? So, does that mean I could park my car there till Monday till 10am anywhere in that postcode area or street?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Do you have a parking permit? If not, then I think the answer is obviously, no.0

What time on Saturday did you pay for the ticket.
What may have happened is that payment for parking is only required from 10am to 5pm/6pm Monday to Saturday so parking on Sunday and evenings is free.
If you paid for 2 hours parking at 4pm on Saturday it's possible that the machine issued the ticket with a parking expiry of 10am Monday which is the next time that you would have had to pay.
The permit holder's stipulation may only apply Monday to Friday.
Where exactly was the parking meter located?
A quick look on Google Streetview may show the parking restriction signage.0 -
OP, as above sounds right. Usually, council parking meters include any free time on to the end of the paid time where applicable. Basically tells you when you would next need to pay if you remained in that spot.0

Nope. You pay for 2hrs of paid parking, you buy the ticket at 4pm on a Friday night but parking from 5pm to 9am Mon-Fri is free as are weekends. You therefore in order to get 2hrs of paid parking get until 10am on the Monday as you pay for Friday 4-5pm, get until 9am on Monday free then are paying for 9am-10am on Monday. Lots and lots of parking machines do this, mostly run by councils. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
ticket was printed at 1pm Saturday afternoon I know Sunday is free as well as bank holidays. However, the times between 00:00 Monday to 10:00 am Monday morning baffled me.0

Probably stops charging at 2pm Sat, and starts again at 9pm Mon.ticket was printed at 1pm Saturday afternoon I know Sunday is free as well as bank holidays. However, the times between 00:00 Monday to 10:00 am Monday morning baffled me.
One of the two hours you paid for is 1-2pm. Then it's free. Then your second paid hour is 9-10am Mon.
It's common. Read sign before feeding meter.0
