Can my P45 give away my previous employer?

Hi all,
My question is with regards to the details on a P45 form.
Scenario is that I have just started a new job and in the 2 months between leaving the old one and starting the new one I was claiming JSA allowance. I've stopped that now and the Job Centre has issued me a P45.
Now I know I am supposed to submit the P45 to my new employer but I don't want them to know about the JSA claim. My question is, will they be able to find this information out in from the form?
I know I only have to give them parts 2 & 3 which doesn't actually have any reference to the job centre (such as address) but there are PAYE reference codes, etc which I am concerned might give it away.
Grateful for any advice! Am a new forum member so hope I have posted this where it's supposed to be!
Thanks
Kris

It's unlikely but if you're that concerned just tell them you've lost your P45 and they should get you to complete a new starter declaration (similar to the old P46 you got to fill in when starting a job).
As you are starting the new job so close to the end of the tax year you may not be paid by them until the new tax year so it's unlikely to be much of an issue tax wise.
Just make sure you fill in the new starter declaration and that the new employer acts on and allocates the correct tax code (most likely 1185L).0 -
Do not know if it has changed recently but in my day a P45 from the Jobcentre had the form reference P45(U) rather than just P45. Whether anyone would take any notice of this I have no idea.
As advised you do not have to hand in your P45 you can either say you lost it or follow the instructions on the P45 for if you do not want to hand it in.0 -
Has your new employer asked for a reference from your previous Employer? Generally that will give your name, dates employed and job title.0

You mean you lied either in your CV, at the interview, or both. Did you consider that if they contacted the job you left previously the reference will give the date you ended employment there? What was your plan then? Tell the new employer that the old one gave the wrong date?0
