ESA during appeal.

My ESA appeal has been received by HMCTS and they have asked DWP to prepare a written response to my appeal.

How do I go about getting my ESA reinstated whilst the appeal is underway? Presumably they will also require a current fit note?

Thank you for all of the very helpful advice I have received so far, I don't know how I would be coping without it. Well, I wouldn't be. Also my doctor has provided me with a letter of support in which, amongst other things, she expresses her "serious concerns" about the WCA report, so that is very helpful too.

Thank you.

If DWP haven't received notification yet, Then you can fax your copy to DWP along with a sick note to get assessment rate ESA while you wait.

So, would the DWP automatically reinstate it on receipt of the letter from HMCTS then? I received the letter today so I assume DWP also received theirs today.

Having said that, waiting and wondering adds to the stress/distress, so perhaps I will go to the horrible job centre tomorrow and ask if they can help me to fax from there, seeing as I wouldn't know how to go about it.

Thank you very much for your advice....much appreciated.

I believe you have to ring ESA with your Tribunal ref number, as it's not automatically re-started.

Thank you, poppy, I couldn't find any clarification re whether it was automatic or not, a lot of the information I have found on the internet seems quite vague. Using the phone is a nightmare on many fronts for me, so I will ask the job centre (that's a whole 'nother load of distress) if they can help with phoning and faxing.
    Thank you.
