Best roof pitch for a lantern

in In my home (includes DIY) MoneySaving
We are having an extension with a roof lantern and I have read that 25 degrees is the standard pitch but our builder is saying ours will be 15 degrees, could this be an issue? Thank you very much

    Do you mean a Velux type window? Lanterns are usually used on flat roofs....
