2 cards with Tesco - allocation of credit limits

I have two credit cards with Tesco bank, one doubles as a Clubcard which I use for everyday expenses and pay in full every month. The other I am using for a 0% transfer deal.

The Clubcard limit is way in excess of what I need so I wondered how possible it would be to re-allocate some of the Clubcard credit limit to the other card (without increasing the overall combined limit).

How amenable do you think Tesco would be to this suggestion?

Interesting thread that just shows the confusion at Tesco regarding this.

I had a similar experience when I took out a 0% BT CC with Tesco about 18 months ago. I had a larger credit limit on an old Tesco CC that I wanted to close and transfer the larger limit to my new card but was told they couldn't do that.

You can't initiate a limit transfer if you have requested the account to be closed.

They will close the card after the transfer is done, if transferring the full limit that is

I agree that there does seem to be conflicting information in the link in Hazzanets post but I have just contacted Tesco and they have agreed to my request to transfer part of the credit limit from one card to the other.
