Hi all, We are looking at a Lasting Power of Attorney for myself and my Wife, our financial adviser has quoted £600 including the registration fee and VAT. does this sound about right?
Also obviously we will be naming each other to act on our behalf, but are we able to name others i.e. our Sons as well?
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

It would be very foolish not to name other executors, if your did not, one of them could become invalid if the spouse had also become incapacitated. We each have 3, each other and our 2 children, who can all act jointly and severally.

As has already been said you can do these yourselves, for much less.

you can definitely name others and should do so. Mother wouldn't name any others - we struggled enough for her to trust someone else to be a certificate provider / witness let alone be another attorney.

I would do the forms yourself - they are £80+ each and you need 4 done.
