Your freeholder needs to comply.
Check here for other frequently asked questions chi as what to do if you don't agree once the process has been carried out
Thanks but that link doesn't seem to work.0 -
To clarify then. As I understand it!
You've been asked for £7500 yourself. That's what, I think, your previous thread said. It is to do with roof repairs that your freeholder has identified as needing doing. No S20 has yet been issued and your conversation with leasehold advice led to them saying you should pay?
Sorry I must clarify. Yes it's about £7500 which is my portion but I'm trying to speak for the other 2 leaseholders as we are as one with this but they are both retired and are seeking advice from me.
Yes a section 20 has been issued(date on letter 15th March 2018) that meets the requirements. This is a company that just buys freeholds and rips people off like this all the time. They are all over the internet.
And yes the Leasehold advisory service stated I should pay.0 -
So. This in the information on S20 and how it works

It does sound, from what you say, that the roof needs repairing. The (?) dispute is about the cost. And that the money should have been collected before.
I guess, sooner or later, you are going to have to pay. From the outside looking in (as Hampshire says) you need to ensure that your freeholder complies with the S20 rules and process.0 -

Some of it is subjective to say the least but yes it is the cost that is in dispute. Some work is needed.0 -
Thanks for reposting the link. Not sure why the one I posted didn't work as it all looked ok in preview:rotfl: apologies for that!0
