Long story short, currently at section 3/4 of the court claim procedure;
4. After sending off your Defence, the Northampton Business centre will send a copy to the Claimant, and then send a Directions Questionnaire (form N180) to both Claimant and Defendant. You must complete this by the date given, and send it back to Northampton, with a copy to the other side (or their solicitors if they've nominated one as the address for service).
I've received a very poorly photocopied version of the form N180 already filled out (from I presume Parking Eye) that's barely legible, there's no return address on the handwritten envelope.
I've not received anything from the Northampton Business Centre as mentioned in Section 4 above.
So what should my next course of action be?
Thank you in advance, from a longtime lurker.

Phone the court. Ignore the poorly photocopied form from PE.
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

What you have received is a copy of the Claimant's completed N180.
You should shortly receive a Defendant's version, which you should complete and return to the Court, and send a copy to Parking Eye, by the date stated.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0
