Morning / afternoon all
This clock change always really throws me I shall be squwiff for a few days now, not up to too much today OH and I will take Madam for her walk we have found a nice new local one which we both enjoy so will do that one.
Not sure about dinner tonight but I fancy a roast so may nip into the shop while im out to buy a joint of meat, we have all the other bits.
House if fairly clean and tidy with nothing that cant wait till tomorrow. I gave Evie a bath yesterday and trimmed her 'beard' she now looks like her nose has been put through a pencil sharpener :rotfl:as its smooth and pointy and the rest of her is a bit shaggy, it does look better and keeps her dinner out of it.
Right better get on have good days all xx0 -
Hi everyone, its a lovely day here.We were out early with the giant hound, local walk through the woods. We have a quieter day today as the DGC stayed Friday,we had a nice day with them yesterday involving baking a cake and decorating gingerbreads. Both went back mid afternoon as they had parties. We went and treated ourselves to a ploughmans in our favourite little bar in town.
One of the neighbours asked us to look at our CCTV as her car was broken into last night- found it at 4 am,2 lads went down the road and tried every car door.It doesn't look like she locked hers.He rifled through the boot then sat in the drivers seat for a while but looks like they were picked up in a car just off camera ,but you can see the headlights- leaving half the stuff in the road
We are having a tidy in our little back garden, and then going up to our friends later this afternoon.Tea is slow cooked porked so that's easy when we get back.
Sorry to hear Holly is still suffering, sending big hugs to her.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Camelot that train experience sounds really scary! This is exactly why, even if I was able to get on public transport, I wouldn't.
Nelski thanks for the further news on Holly. I wish I could think of something other than books - when Mr LW was in hospital, all he wanted was books and more books, but he could read for England. I hope the new meds work out for her, and she can be out of there asap.
Redruby keeping doggy beards out of dinner is a good move.
I'm another one struggling with the change of the clocks; I suppose I should be grateful it's on a weekend when I don't have dogs staying,as you can't explain to them why things are happening at something other than the Appointed Time.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all,
Stuck in traffic on the M5 on the way home.
Appalled at the way the health authorities are treating Holly.
Onwards and forwards

Nelski, just an idea but to make a change from books how about a jigsaw. You can quite often get good ones in charity shops. Poor Holly, I should think she is going mad with boredom.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Afternoon all. I have today exerted myself a bit! Such a glorious day so I got off my arris and went out back to tackle the hacky patio. First a good rake of the moss between the slabs and then swilled the whole lot with bleach and water and gave it all a good scrub with the decking brush. It looks so much better and I felt quite chuffed with myself. Shame the rest of the garden, both back and front, looks a mess but will leave for another day - baby steps! And anyway I am now shattered!
NELSKI I too have been giving a bit of thought to ideas for HOLLY and wondered about crossword and puzzle books. I don't know if she is into stuff like that though.
Have a nice evening folks if you can. It's quiet on here today is everybody out enjoying the warm sunshine - while it lasts!! Take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Afternoon all
Nelski what about those grown up colouring books and a set of coloured pencils? My friend got into them when she had an operation and loved them.
I'm another one affected by the clocks being altered. I had a nap this afternoon and feel better for it.
Lovely day here. Mr G went to a model railway exhibition this morning and I did loads of housework. I have two loads of washing on the line and the bathroom is sparkling.
Lamb shanks for dinner tonight with roasties, kale, carrots and peas. Lashings of gravy and Yorkshire puddings.
Hope your ankles is better soon HH.Enjoy the rest of your Sunday all.

Evening all, a late one from me.
Another one here who has been discombobulated with the changed hour.
This morning I washed the bedding and hung it out and it was 90% dry by the time the sun went over the hill, so I have finished it off indoors. DD called in too with DGD and Jasper in tow, with some brownies and peppermint creams which she made yesterday and a new book for me to digest. (DGS had gone to play football ).
Lunch was lush and the lamb was delicious, although it made me look like the bis*o kid sniffing the air while it was cooking :rotfl:.
Dad wanted to go to Li*l this afternoon, so I rode shotgun. My goodness I think I've lost a few years sitting in his passenger seat. I could have done with my own foot brake . Anyway every inch of the shop was covered and he only wanted some jogging bottoms, which were " like paper ! " in his words. I've tried to get him to try other shops in town but it's like :wall:. We came home with a fresh chicken and 6 frozen doughnuts :rotfl:.
I trimmed Dad's hair this afternoon and he went home about 6pm as he wasn't feeling too good. I'm not surprised with the cocktail of tablets he's taking, but again he knows best.
Nelski I hope your arm heals soon. Thinking cap on......... how about some type of card making stuff for Holly ? I did think about x stitch but I don't suppose she would be allowed a needle.
Gintot I am sorry to hear about your friend. I'm in the same boat, as my friend is having radiotherapy at present. I have offered to help even if she just wanted a bit of shopping, or a lift to the hospital etc but she has declined. She seems happy to know that help is at the end of the phone, should she need it.
NMLC enjoy your new car
Hester hope you get well soon
TA I'm sorry about Mr TA and another health problem. That's something you could both do without, I hope the op sorts it soon, fingers crossed.
OK enough waffling, you're probably bored stiff, I'm even boring myself now :rotfl:.
I think I'll have an early night, because 3 sleep deprived ones and the hour change has wiped me out and I'm a gibbering wreck . So what's new eh ? :rotfl::rotfl:.
Take care all. Sending everyone a giant hug, see you tomorrow xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Back home.... washer on. Ive already had bawling match with Youngest. Seems like he has gone his own sweet way whilst we were away. Grump says i am too hard on him and ive told him to sod off cause he doesnt have to clean the place. I hate ash trays and i hate brick dust. I understand brick dust has to come into the house because its Youngests job but i insist his work trousers stay downstairs as they contain the worst of the mess so why do i find them slung in a corner of his room and a trail leading up to it?
"Its my room!" says Youngest.
"Its my house" Says me. "So you think £25 a week gives you the right to treat the place like a tip".
"Leave him alone!" says Grump..... He's never let me parent that child as a boy, and still cant now he's a man.
Burned tea for him tonight.
Back to Holly, how about magazines? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
