Haggle for FT subscription?

Has anyone had any success haggling down the cost of a subscription to the Financial Times?
I have just taken a trial sub for a month but I can't imagine I'll be so hooked that I want to keep paying £48 a month after that.
I've been a subscriber to The Times for the last few years and pay £8.67 a month for it, which I'm happy with even though they dropped the free taste card and also didn't renew free access to the Wall Street Journal.
Just interested if I can get access to the FT for a similar amount.

I know that numerous options are available. What I asked was if anyone has successfully haggled.0

my butler brings me a copy every day in bed at 7am so I can read it while eating my breakfast0

I would be interested to know how you get the Times for £8.67 a month - or do you mean a week?0

No, 8.67 a month. Digital only mind. They offered me that when I rang up to cancel and it's been that much ever since.
I will try the same with the FT in a few weeks.0 -

When I cancelled at the end of my last (digital only) sub they did offer a bit of a discount, can't recall exactly how much, think it was in the 25-33% range0

FT tried to increase my sub by 25% on automatic renewal next month but I responded when i got the email warning me and asked not to renew. The live chat person agreed to keep old rate.. small savings but much appreciate your tips on this thread.0
