Closing B Online Account

I opened an account with "B online" the new account from Clydesdale bank / Yorkshire bank back in November. I got the 250 pounds for switching. I'm now planning to close the account . Has anyone done this? I don't think they can claw back the 250 pounds once its paid, right?

I just switched mine to another account. The £250 is perfectly safe, there is no claw-back provision in the Terms and Conditions. The only problem, if it is a problem, with closing the account by switching it is that the associated savings account remains open.

I would not call it a problem. Associated savings account can be easily closed. Get on the chat in internet banking and ask to get this account to be closed. Final account statement will be sent via post.

Definitely second this don't try and close the account just switch it to another account e.g one of your existing accounts the balance eyc will be sent over and the account closed

I reduced my savings account to zero before I did it it is still showing on the app as 0 I won't close it I will just leave it in case I ever need to apply for one of their products in the future
