Drop debt recovery parking fine

Hi all
I've just received a parking charge for £130 from drp debt recovery for waiting in a car park and not putting a ticket in the window. My youngest daughter was busy Vomitting all over the back of the car so i called my wife back via mobile and told her to get in the car so we could drive off and clean her up. They've got me on camera saying I waited unlawfully, thus handing me a parking fine of £70. After Ignoring this, its now turned into £130.
Where do I stand with these heartless cowboys and what should i do please?

Hi all
That is DRP debt recovery not drop by the way
Debt recovery plus :rotfl:0 -
DRP are debt collectors and can be safely ignored. They can do nothing other than send silly letters (see NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4).
If you tell us which parking company sent you the original correspondence, we can give you an indication of how far (if at all) they might proceed with this. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Unlikely to go much further than silly DRP letters (possibly followed by letters from Zenith - same outfit as DRP).The car park is run by Euro car parks Ltd

Come back in the vanishingly unlikely event of a court claim. They have 6 years in which to progress a claim through the county court. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. That's excellent. Put my mind at ease no end.
Thanks very much

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Im on it. They shouldn't be able to get away with it. Im fairly young with my wits about me, but what if it was some elderly lady or gent? They would just Cough it up.
Disgusting.
Many thanks
