Britannia Parking

HI sorry have checked all threads. Have a PCN from Britannia which we contested in writing and via email (and had an auto response so know received) - last August 2017. We heard nothing from them for 6 months until 2 weeks ago when we were sent a final reminder and a new charge of £160. According to their customer service team they did 'post' us a couple of letters indicating the fine could be reduced (our ticket had blown over in the front windscreen so couldn't be seen) however we have never received any correspondence from them in 6 months other than this threatening final debt letter and the fine now being £160. I have requested evidence 5 times on the phone and email for all correspondence sent but they keep replying with a standard response that we must pay £160. I am struggling to deal with them as being incredibly rude on the phone and tell me each time to email customer services for evidence of correspondence but then each time I get an email back 14 days later indicating we must pay the fine and no recognition of my response. It's very frustrating.. Where do we stand legally on this.

HI sorry have checked all threads. .

You quite clearly have not, did you read the "newbies thread right at the top?
For a start you would have learnt that it's not a "fine"!

They are muppets that only want money they won't deal with you in a reasonable manner, and you should not phone scammers and debt collectors can be ignored they can't do anything!

This is your odds of these idiots going further with this:

You should also complain to your MP, the BPA and Trading Standards about these muppets!

Yes, you must read the Newbies Thread first

These scammers do not offer customer service ?
Sewer living debt collectors are trained scammers
    to extort money.

Debt collectors in the parking scam have no power.
Of course they will be rude, these are low life people
who have yet to learn manners ...

The extra £60 is just the debt collectors bounty which
you do not owe. YOU MUST IGNORE THESE MORONS

And, this is not a fine, it's a simple scam invoice

Ignore the plebbies and wait to see what Britannia do,
    if anything ??

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

According to their customer service team
They haven't got consumer customers, so they haven't got a 'CS team'. No PPC has a CS team or CS ethic. You didn't realise that and you PHONED them?! Stop doing that.

Please read this, please no threads about debt letters:

Do watch the Parliamentary debate video linked by The Deep. It's not boring, it's good. Your PPC is only Britannia, so tame that I am disappointed when my car is missed out for a love letter (PCN) at Waitys!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
