Opening a new bank account to get cash bonus

Hello everyone,

Can someone simply open a bank account with any given bank and then switch to a bank that is offering a cash bonus? If so you could surely just do this with every bank that’s offering a cash bonus?
Any thoughts? Thanks

I'm not an expert but from what I can tell - yes you can... however if you do it too many times you may get declined after exhausting all of the offers, as the multiple applications will appear on your credit file. :-)

Edit: I meant to say if you do it too many times in a short period of time. I've seen people on here that have managed to successfully switch for all of the bonuses, but also people who have tried to take up every offer within a period of a few months and eventually get declined. :-)
