Just ordered a frost free Beko from AO for £229! With fire retardant backing - which i agree is a must these days for peace of mind. Shame as I would have otherwise ordered a Kenwood or Hotpoint.

are flame retardant backings a feature on dishwashers?

I think dishwashers have a metal case rather than having a plastic type back that is common in fridges and freezers.
The latest fire stats from Which show about 12 dishwasher fires a week with 2 makes having 10% of the total each and those two having similar market share.
Even if you are on economy 7 electricity (like me) knowing the fire risks, I would no longer use washing machines, tumblers and dishwasher when I am not awake or in the house.
  • What's a good place for a used fridge freezer?
OP, which did you go for eventually?

Something i learnt,Beko are the only one that will work at very low temp,so if its in the Garage or outside porch buy Beko.

Rather more relevant at the moment will be the fridge-freezers which work at high temperatures!

This is not correct. Most will not work at outside temps, but some are designed to. Whether that includes some Beko models, I have no idea. The specs will tell you.

When I was looking recently for an FF for my garage many Beko models have a working room temp of between 10c and 43c but not all. Many other makes also have models with the 10c to 43c working temp range. For instance the Beko CSG1552W has a range of 16c to 38c, the Hotpoint First Edition HBD5517S has a working range of 10c to 43c.
Check the spec before you buy.
