F1rst Parking - Parkin get charge notice

Hi guys,

I’ve had a look through the new by section but my brain is a little frazzled at the mo!

I have literally just left the hospital after taking my mum to A&E with sever pain. She has unfortunately been admitted with complications from an incurable condition. I took her myself as the 2 hour wait for an ambulance was unbearable. I purchased a parking ticket for 6 hours (not knowing how long I would be) and threw it on my dash board.

Anyways, after getting her admitted and comfortable, I’ve returned to a parking charge notice from F1rst Parking..... really can do without this.

I have the paid ticket in my hand stating that parking had been paid up to 00:29 on 24/03/2018, and the parking companies “invoice” states the violation occurred at 23:29 on 23/03/2018

Now, I don’t really care about this company but as I am in a stressful situation as it is, I would really appreciate advice on what I should do to resolve this issue...

Ps..... absolute b@=£*&& for preying on desperately ill individuals and their families

What does the fake PCN say the contravention was? Ticket not displayed the right way up?

    Read the NEWBIES thread and:

PLAN A - complain to PALS (Google it) get it cancelled, or:

PLAN B - on day 26, (diarise it!) submit an online appeal in the name of the keeper, not saying who was driving. A template appeal for keepers to stop them blabbing about the driver, is in the sticky.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It states parked without a valid ticket/permit. Tbh, I wasnt paying particular attention to where I placed the ticket as understandably my concern was with my mum. I do however have the ticket stating the amount paid and expiry time.

Thank you for responding, I’ll have a look through when my stress levels are lower and I’ve had some sleep. I don’t know how these people sleep at night tbh, so unfair! It’s not like we go to A&E for the fun of it

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
