I am outraged but maybe naive. I checked out prices on Asda website and Mysupermarket. I then drove 10 miles to shop and was charged higher price than stated online. This is apparently 'normal' - not in my book it isn't! I have complained to store and to customer services on the phone but they all say the same. Is this me or should we be able to check prices online and shop personally accordingly?:(

Prices will differ between stores of different sizes and in different areas. Common sense, no?

Why don't they say 'approximate' price then as you can't research a specific store?

It was in Sussex so I am guessing if I had driven to Norfolk or somewhere it may have been cheaper - or, as per web prices!

It's not ideal, but neither will it be a mistake you make twice.

There's also the possibility that prices have changed and the website hasn't been updated.

I often find when Googling for something, it shows one price on the search page but it's different when you click through to the actual site.

Online prices sometimes differ from store prices too.

It is normal, all the supermarket prices vary between online and instore and across stores.

Ok I give in then! So the comparison and websites are a waste of time if you intend to shop in person?
