Can I claim back mortgage interest miscalculation?

Hi , I’ve seen an advert regarding miscalculation of mortgage interest? The company that advertised this ‘claim back’ was called beat the banks , it was an add on social media.
They got my attention because I was a northern rock customer, then it changed to NRam and is now Landmark Mortgages.
I’m assuming this is similar to a PPI claim...
The beat the banks rep said they charge 25% plus vat and a ‘insurance’ fee of roughly 2k is taken from any money I’d receive back from my claim . It’s no win no fee , and they’d obviously only consider taking on cases if it was worth their while.
My question is , is this genuine like PPI and if so are their means of me doing it myself to cut out the middle man ?
Thanks

If you've been over charged, just write to your lender and let them know.0

If you have been overcharged your bank would write to you with a cheque.
Your mortgage would need to be the size of the national debt to get back over £3k as any miss calculation (assuming there has been one) is likely to be pennies a month on the average mortgage.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
