If it is from Zenith, yes, they are debt collectors, they cannot make a claim against you.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

If you look at the footer of this stupid letter I think you might find that it says Zenith are actually debt Recovery Plus!

They have cottoned on to the fact that their silly DRP scam didn't work and are now trying a different letter heading to frighten you!

But you would have known this from reading the newbies thread!!

The next tactic will be to reduce the charge,

There has been no routine advice to ignore PPCs here for some years now! The law changed back in 2012

However debt predators like Zenith remain wholly ignorable.

You need to start by reading the Newbies Sticky for all the most current information and options for seeing-off a ticket.

asif2363 also why have you started another thread (to which you never even posted any reply) on the same incident?
You really are wasting people's time and causing confusion!

Read this, and post #4 of the NEWBIES thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5035663

It's my dream that people with debt collector letters just read that thread, realise that they are worrying about nothing, and ignore the letters, coming back to post only in the event of a court claim, which is when people do need our help.

Especially as Zenith is linked in the NEWBIES thread, showing they are Debt Recovery Plus, same firm. No thread needed.
