Tesco Bank Application Referd

I applied for a Tesco Bank Credit Card on Monday and got the message we would like to offer you a card but we need to do further checks. It gave a credit limit, Apr, balance and money transfer offers and they would be in touch.

I had a call yesterday they asked some very basic questions like confirm contact details, if the contact details were used for personal or business use, and finnally who provided my current account. These seem odd questions perhaps they were checking it was me that applied and would have a decision within 2 business days.

Does this seem odd?

What was the limit shown on screen?

£1200 by any chance?

No it was £3200. I wondered if I made a mistake in the application but I’m sure I double checked it all before submitting.

Ah OK.

Just making sure you weren't quoting the standard Apr they put on for examples

I hate it when applications get referred, I don’t like waiting for a decision :rotfl:

I got a Tesco card last year, got the accepted message and so I waited for the card.

A few days later, I also got a phone call and rung them back early evening. They asked me questions about my application. It seemed strange, because the tone of the call, was along the lines of we haven't accepted you yet.

But the card was already in the post, it arrived the next morning, by regular mail. The questions seemed to be similar to yours, I guess trying to make sure it was me who applied and that the details entered were genuine.

I had a Tesco PIN number turn up today so I guess that’s approved :T
