Flooded house-advice on loss adjuster

Posts: 1 Newbie
Our home was flooded nearly 2 weeks ago, that resulted in the downstairs being ruined. We got in contact with the insurance company straight away and the have been great. But yesterday as my husband and I were leaving our home yesterday, a man came to our house knowing everything about what had happened. Well he is an independent loss adjuster and said he could get a better deal with our insurance and we wouldn’t have to pay him a penny?!?!
It sounds a little bit to good to be true!!! Advice would be much appreciated. Thanks !!!128578;

If you are happy with the service you are receiving, and you say it is great, then why get involved with some unknown character?
I would be keeping matters simple and sticking with what had been agreed.0
