What are my insurance options?

Hi

I am currently in the process of remortaging and I have never had mortgage insurance. I recently became an IT contractor and want to make sure I cover myself with my own life assurance as well.

Can I get insurance against mortgage payments after I have taken out the new term?

Should I fet a new life assurance poilcy that covers mortage and critical illness?

Should I buy them separately of both insurances together (i.e. mortgage cover and life cover?)

Thanks

You can get life assurance any time you like.

Do you know what critical illness covers?
In my view PHI is much better and critical illness is pretty useless.
Make sure you are aware of what you are buying.

PHI is an income until retirement if you can't work (for ANY reason - with a few exclusions).
CI covers payus a lump sum for a very small list of conditions.
Should I buy them separately of both insurances together

I would do it whatever way works out cheapest.
