My mother has had a telephone conversation with a PPI claiming company having seen there 'advert' on Facebook, she has since had a letter from them asking her to fill in forms authorising them to proceed with a claim against J D Williams, they say in the letter that she had PPI with J D Williams and quote a policy number.
Seeing this letter I looked into this claims company and they will charge in excess of 50% of any compensation received!! So I told my Mother to put a request into J D Williams by using the Resolver site to se if indeed she did have any PPI with themselves.
Unfortunately after 4 weeks she has received no correspondence from J D Williams.
Which is the best course of action to take on this now? And would this claims company have recourse to any compensation that may or may not eventually received, even though nothing more than a telephone conversation has taken place with them.
thx

Always send complaints direct. Avoid Resolver, claims companies and anyone else offering to post your letter for you.
You can get a stamp locally, post it yourself and then you'll know it has been sent.
If your mother hasn't signed an agreement, then she will have nothing to pay.0
