im sure that a lot of OSers have discovered OH through this part of MSE, as did i.

unfortunately, the organized home forums will no longer be available after the new year. Stalwarts of OH are attempting to make alternative arrangements, but as yet it would appear that these are still very much in the experiemental stage. The only certainty is that OH will cease to exist after january.

i therefore recommend that you make the time now to go back to the site, and copy down any hints/advice etc that you found valuable whilst it is still available, as im not sure how good the archive facility will be (if one is availble at all) once the site closes in the new year.

Am not sure if the main site will still be up in the new year, but if it isn't, try using the Wayback Machine to find it - its an internet archive of internet sites. I have found it a godsend at times

Pavlovs_dog, is the whole site going to disappear? (and it's sister sites, organized christmas etc)? Or just the forum?

I can't find any announcement on the site anywhere, or in the forums, saying that it is going to close down - I just thought there would be a sticky somewhere warning users to save information.?!?

I'm a sporadic visitor to organised home and would be so upset to drop by and found it had disappeared! Thanks so much for the warning.

thats why i thought it best to flag the issue for old stylers. i love the forums, but only visit there sporadically, whereas im here daily. the forums there just arent as lively as the ones here, so the news could easily be missed.

the actual announcement from CEO can be found HERE, and states that all organized message boards will close, and only website content will remain.

I just found this out yesterday, there is an excellent gift basket forum on Organized Christmas that I used to use, I've copied all the gift basket info into word now. What a shame to close the forums though. The new UK site set up by members is www.organisedchristmaselves.co.uk

i spotted that too. seems to be a bit slow getting off the ground, but i have no doubt it will explode once the OC forums officially close. i think right now the pull is very much towards the OC for most christmas forumites

I looked at the organised home site, never seen it before, however it led me to a recipe site that looks very promising.
