Why do you think that being on benefits entitles you to a free laptop ?

If it does - it shouldnt

There was a scheme some years ago where you could get a computer if on benefits. Gash ones were free but better ones on a sliding scale to £99. I haven't heard of the scheme recently so probably died a death. See if there any charity grants available in your area.

Could try freegle/. freecycle . People do ask on my local sites. Don't know if they get one though.
