uPVC Window Handle Stuck

Hi there, any ideas how i can get a uPVC window open..the handle is stuck, wont budge. The window is stuck in the ajar position, cant open or close properly. When i put the key in, the key turns as normal but handle still doesn't budge. Any ideas? Hoping not to call a locksmith out or break the window. Thank you for any help in advance.

Can't you unscrew the handle to see if it's the handle or mechanism that is stuck? If it's just the handle use one off another window. I know some are riveted on though.

Handle doesnt move..so cant lift it to get to screw to take it off...its a real pickle

All you need is a piece of metal ( thick feeler gauge?) Slide it between the handle and the fitment to the actual window. Inbetween where it should rotate. At the side where the hand grip is you should be able to feel the small latch that is stopping the handle rotating. Moving the feeler gauge one way or the other should release the handle (ensure handle is unlocked) I had to do it, should only take a couple of mins.
