Kitchen Cancellation Confusion

So,
I ordered a B&Q kitchen a while back, it was about £4k so I got it on 2 years 0% finance, and paid a £1k deposit on it.
I then decided to cancel this order (went with Wickes instead), so requested it to be cancelled. They happily cancelled the kitchen and said I'd be refunded to my original payment method (debit card).
So I was just expecting to receive £1k deposit back into my account, but I haven't received that and received a cheque for the full £4k amount in the post.
Obviously somewhat confused by this, is this simply a mistake or am I going to still be charged the monthly repayments for 2 years and they have refunded me the full amount to pay this?
I haven't cashed it yet, assuming if it is a mistake they will realize and want it back
Anyone know if this is the norm or?
Thanks
Kyle

Doesn't sound normal to me. Contact the finance company and see what they think has happened. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
How long after the initial contract did you cancel? If it was outside your automatic right to cancel your finance agreement then maybe that has something to do with it, you can always cash the cheque and pay of the finance straight away but may be liable for early repayment or admin fees, the details of this will be in the contract you signed.0
