Charge Notice REMINDER - Crown Wharf

Hello, I have read through your thread and many posts and I am undecided where to go with this one.
I just receive a Parking Notice Reminder (19/3), yet I have not received any NTK.
I am infuriated because at the time of the alleged incident, a ticket was bought and displayed in the windscreen of the vehicle . There should be a log of the vehicle registration in the ticket machine! The ticket has long ago been thrown away (never again!)
Here are the particulars:
Date of incident: 21/02
Date of notice: 19/03
CP Plus/Crown Wharf, WS2 8LL
The letter states an NTK was sent on 01/03 which is BS.
Can you advise please? I am reluctant to compalin on the basis that a ticket was bought because that would give away the drivers details. Or would they have anything to worry about?
Kind Regards

If so you need to cut and paste this into that thread. Stick to one thread rather than starting a new thread for every question. There is an awful lot of useful background information in the original thread and it won't be fun for you to have to repeat it or regulars to have to go searching for it.0 -
not same thread. new challenge, unfortunately.0

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
how can I challenge my parking charge notice and win?
Complaining to local MP - aren't they too busy with other things to consider my triviality?
I don't know whether to complain that the driver had purchased a valid ticket that was displayed in the window because we cannot prove this, but you have to enter your vehicle reg in the system as you are being issued a ticket.
or should I say that there was no NTK and this first letter I had is well past the 14 days0 -
You dont challenge teh notice and "win". You should be wwell aware of that by now. You set out that the PPC is unreasonable and has no merit in pursuing this, and so you can show you told them this at the early opp.
Folow newbies thread. Tell tehm a ticket was purchased BY THE DRIVE without, of course, naming the driver .This is hardly a difficult sentence to construct
No, you complain to your MP. They will be aware of Greg Knights Bill.
You can state no NtK was received by the Keeper within 14 days, this will be evidenced by a WS signed under a statement of truth, and as such the presumption of service is rebutted. This means they have no right o claim from you and they must pursue the driver.
OR just use the tempalte. Your choice.0 -
Thank you very much Nosferatu10010
