Ok for someone who doesn't know and can't find out...
Can you use an amazon fire tablet in the same way you would use a kindle?
Many thanks in advance.

Do you mean just for the purpose of reading books basically?0

Define "in the same way"!
To read books from amazon? Sure.
To read books outside in daylight? Not really much like any LCD screen.0 -

In ten letters or more....yes
Then yes, exactly the same. However, as said above, if you were to use it for reading in bright day/sunlight, then you may struggle. The original Kindle would be better for this type of reading as it's the black and white screen and no glare from the screen.0
