Axis Bank

I opened a fixed rate bond with Axis Bank.
Then when I tried to see my account online, the security system on my computer, blocked the site with the message 'Phishing problems with the site'.
So I tried emailing them twice but with no reply. So I rang them to get someone to confirm that I had indeed got an account with them. On both occasions the person who took the call said they couldn't confirm but would get someone to call back. Again no reply.
Recently my computer blocked a phishing attack by Axis Bank.
The only confirmation that I have an account is a email.
Has anyone else had any problems with Axis Bank.

I opened a fixed rate account a little while ago and transferred money into it, I didn't receive any log on details to see ? monitor my account but I couldn't remember if I was supposed to get log on information, in a way you could say if it's a fixed rate why do you need to log on?
I just phoned them and they said that they would forward my query on, they did seem to think that I should have received some log on details, but didn't seem overly sure.
I was a bit concerned that it was all a hoax and that my money might be lost, I hope not as it's a considerable sum. I applied for the account via
    https://www.money.co.uk/savings-accounts/fixed-rate-bonds.htm

    So it looks OK.

I know the first number I tried went to answer machine, that was very worrying.

Let me know how you get on.

I just received a phone call from 02073972522 after going through a security check the gentleman told me that he was going to send me an email, just checked my email and I have one from

    customercommunication.uk@axisbank.com

It tells me about my fixed deposit.

I did ask the gentleman if it would include information about viewing my account on line, he said that Axis Bank don't do On line banking for fixed accounts.

    From there FAQ's, I see:-

How can I access my Fixed Deposit Account?
For any enquiry related to Fixed Deposit Account, you need to get in touch with the branch. Branch will instruct you to send instruction accordingly.

    I also see:-

Whom should I contact for queries related to my Fixed Deposit Account or transactions or any other query?

You can contact our Customer Services at 0207 397 2522 on any working day from Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.00pm. Our team will be happy to assist you with any of your banking queries. You may also like to visit our branch, in this regard. You may also contact us at customercare.uk@axisbank.com

So that makes me fell a bit happier

What an odd name for a bank!

Do they have branches in Japan, Germany and Italy?

    Let's not forget Austria too!

Is it normal for a bank to take in money for an account but provide no certificate, passbook or internet access for it? If the holder were to die suddenly the only proof dependants would have would be an email and maybe a letter!

They emailed me a PDF that was password protected, once opened it showed me My Customer ID, Fixed Deposit Account No, Effective Dates, Amount, Interest and things like that, so I've put it all in my Savings folder

    1) To remind me that is there
    2) In Case I die

They are legit so don't worry.

They don't do any online services for the type you have, if you want info you have to go to their branch (London) or do it over the phone.

Normally they wont contact you during the term of saving etc, only when your period of saving has been completed. Then you get all the info you need.

Branch or phone should give you the reassurance you need, and you can ask for documents to be sent via post or email.

    Hope this info helps.

Ah, its a long hike across Asia and over the Khyber pass to get your money back if you are in a hurry.

Then they will only give you it in Rupees :rotfl:
