Amazon problem

Options
Recently, on more than one occasion without my knowledge Amazon.com have apparently changed my email address. As this has occurred on several occasions over the last few months I am very concerned. I don’t use Amazon.com and seems I cannot resolve without deleting ALL amazon accounts or changing my email address
Amazon have been informed/reported by phone & to the amazon spoof email. I have NEVER responded to the amazon emails stating the change or given any details.

After receiving the change of email address & going to amazon.uk (Not via any link within the email) I try to login & my email is not recognized. Calling customer support they tell me my account isn't known – “No, that’s why I'm calling”.
As this has happen on several occasions I wonder if I'm calling the right number or whether I should try another route. Used the following contact number - 0800 279 7234 & emailed stop-spoofing …
Looking thru’ my account when I can logon there doesn’t appear to be any transactions which I cannot verify

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated as it seems I get the Amazon first line support who either don’t understand or keep you on the phone which in its self raises concerns.

Thanks
Steve

Um, you've said you don't use Amazon so how do you know this address is being changed? Amazon use one system so one email address should work on all the international sites. The fact yours doesn't work suggests it isn't in the Amazon system.

I think looking at the rest of your message you're getting spoof/phishing emails that claim to be from Amazon. If that's the case I wouldn't do anything with the mails, just file them into the Deleted Items folder and forget about them.

    I don't use Amazon.com but I do use amazon.co.uk.
The emails suggesting changeof email address are ignored however trying to access amazon.co.uk and entering my email address it states there is no such account.
The msgs of changes to the email address are sent to the spoof amazon email

    Sounds worrying.

If you do manage to log back in, I would make sure you have no saved credit card details or any other saved payment methods that a hacker could use.
    And change the password.

And then maybe consider starting from scratch with a new Amazon account, using a different email address.

if you gain access then first change your email and password,
    Then go to
    1. Your Account
    2. Login & security
    3. Advanced Security Settings

And set up "Two Step Verification"
I'd go with the SMS option rather than the "Authenticator app", as you'll get a text message when every you or someone else tries to log in.

set a mobile number as a backup method.

Then finally press the button at the bottom where it says "require codes on all devices"

If someone else is getting access, having two step verification should stop them logging in.
