Avios part payment on BA?

hi all

so, I may just be REALLY dim, but I cannot for the life of me work out how to use Avios points as part payment for BA.

I logged into the executive club, all my points have been transferred from Avios to BAEC, I used the BAEC search facility... but when it comes to payment it just has card options.

Anyone shed any light?

After you choose your flights and it comes up with the total, BEFORE you click continue there is always something on the page about using avios.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Maybe you're trying to book an ineligible flight. Mine didn't work for UK to Cambodia but did for UK to Thailand.

When we!!!8217;ve done this there is a menu offering pay with cash,:Avios or part Avios.

As said, not all flights are eligible.

You don't need to be logged in initially. Just do a normal flight search. After you select your flights, a box apears with the option to part pay with avios. You click this and then you can choose how many. In my experience it is normally 0.5p per Avios approx.
You then log in and complete the booking.

It is sometimes worth comparing the total cost with a Reward booking, with a reduced Avios amount topped up with cash as occasionally this can reduce the cash element more for the same amount of Avios+ luggage included and ticket is flexible.

It needs to be on a BA flight number and operated by BA to be able to use the part pay with Avios

We used part pay with Avios on American Airlines in January 2017. Booked through BA, of course.

    Might have changed?

Are you going through the normal flight search facility?

When you go into the BA website, click "Executive Club" from the menu bar at the top, then "Spending Avios" then "Book a reward flight".

Once you have selected a flight/flights you should get various payment options using different amounts of Avios / cash
    Not even wrong

That's different from what the OP is asking about (if I understand the question correctly). The OP wants to use Avios towards a cash booking, what you're explaining is effectively how to use cash towards an Avios booking.
