Hi all,
I have recieved another letter from DRP. The creditor being UKCPS ltd at HMP Lindholme.
It reads like;
“ Final Settlement offer of £144.00 to avoid court action!
We refer to our letter dated 02/03/18. As you didn’t pay wat you owe, we recommended to our client that they appoint their solicitor to start court action against you.
When taking any court action, our client must demonstrate that they have done as much as possible to settle this matter. This is know as “pre action protocol” as part of this, our client has previously told us that, if you want to settle this matter once and for all, they’re will to accept £144 instead of the initial £160
Do i just ignore them now?

Refer them to Arkell v Pressdram.
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Why do we have a second thread on this?
On your earlier thread you were advised to ignore debt collector's letters.
If you want further guidance on how to deal with debt collector's letters then have a read of post #4 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.0
