I applied to switch tariffs, as an existing customer on the 20th March. I got the confirmation email from the MSE site to say it was in progress. I then got an email on 23rd March from MSE site to say that they'd got reports of delays. So I left it until today when I called British Gas. I was told they had no record of it and that they can't check with their back office, and I can't speak to anyone there. I was told I should wait another week. So the question is, will it happen??!

I was also told be the call handler that my next bill, due near end of April) would be backdated to the date I requested the switch - I find this hard to believe - does anyone know if it will be backdated (Assuming it gets processed at all)?
