I thought you could get gluten free products by prescription if you have a medically diagnosed allergy?
I thought there are quite a foods you can get through your GP if you medically need them?
Have you considered that? Just a thought0 -
Please be kind to new posters.
OP if you come back all the suggestions you mention in your post are the ones we would automatically suggest so as you say you have already looked at those so I wont go there.
On the plus side the weather is getting better in certain parts of the country so hopefully you can now get to the food bank. Have you sought medical help for your digestion issues. These are also possibly stress induced due to money worries and your parents deaths. Probably cheese and eggs are the cheapest things out of the foods you say you can tolerate so look for cheap suppliers online first before making a journey.
There isnt long until 1st April (will you get your money next Thursday as the 1st is a bank holiday?). That is just one week so look through your food cupboards and freezer and see if you can be creative for this one week. Frozen veg if you cannot tolerate tinned? Or a market.
You say your outgoings are £200. Are you prioritising these? Do you have any rent or mortgage to pay? You should pay rent or mortgage first, I think council tax is free if you are unemployed and obviously services and food are next. All other outgoings should be on hold until you have a reliable income and can cover essentials first.
£12 a month is not enough for food. You need to cut some other outgoings before you get there. Without you putting up an soa (statement of affairs) it is difficult to see what you are prioritising above food though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
