If none of the charities are helping at all and you are not due any more benefits, then it suggests that there is something else going on in the background and people on here would need to know the details before they can advise you better.
I agree.
Perhaps you are struggling with an addiction, I don't know. Whatever is going on that you are hiding isn't going to get any better keeping it to yourself. People can help you with whatever it is you need help with, all they ask for in return is your honesty.
I really do wish you all the best.My old materialistic lifestyle left me in debt worth £38,250.
Current debt balance £35,966 16/07/20180 -
I do wonder what food stuffs you have in your cupboard if you are allergic to everything as you claim.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
zippy - what do you mean context? I am unemployed (if you must know the reason I left my job to take care of both of my sick parents and then they died, not that it's your business) and that is my situation. What on earth are you implying?
Food allergies: all fruit and veg (yes all of them), I can't eat bread/gluten and canned pastas/canned meats gives me an upset stomach. My body works best with meat, fish, cheese and eggs - none of which my local food bank provides.
You cannot be allergic to all fruit and vegetables, there are no allergens in common across all of them so, again, you are exaggerating.
The answer is clear, you need to go out tomorrow and get a job. We have nearly full employment with employer struggling to find the staff that they need, so get up before sundprise, get out, and find someone who will pay you for your time.
No-one is going to wave a wand and fix this, it is down to you. The alternative? You go hungry. Sorry to be stark, but that is your choice right now.
Unless you are posting from a library, sell what you are using to post on the internet, and but food with that.0 -
I feel so sorry for you, being a newbie and people are supposed to be kind to you. You are asking for help and people are just slagging you off. Not nice at all. My advice, as it always is to those struggling with money troubles, is to phone StepChange 0800 138 1111. One free phone call is all you need. They are helpful, friendly and non-judgemental. Unlike the people on here, sorry about that. Good luck, you need a bit of sympathy rather than berating. StepChange literally saved my life. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. You can buy a box of 6 eggs basic range for around 75p, a packet of fresh chives which is a very good herb for you and keeps for a week at around 70p.
I only learnt to cook scrambled egg only recently! And I'm sure eggs is a staple lunch filling for many who work.
I hope the luck on the job front picks up for you soon. I know someone at 62 has just bagged themselves a part time job and coming out of their early retirement so anything can be achieved these days. Another person got reconsidered couple of weeks after being turned down for one particular job even before they got to interview - so you must keep your spirits up.0 -
A lot of people on this thread seem to be assuming that getting a job is a lot easier than it is- it can be so dependent on area. When I lived down south I could walk into jobs with relative ease but after moving home to a small town in Northumberland, I was unemployed for 3 months- and that was as a graduate with a solid work history. It!!!8217;s not like I was only applying for graduate jobs either, I got rejected from places like Next and Pizza Hut. Living in a rural area without a car really decreases opportunities too.0

I see the OP has not been back. But then again that is not a surprise really is it0

Claiming to be allergic to all fruit and vegetables suggest mental health issues or learning difficulties; if the OP is under the care of anyone for this then it would help to know who.
In the absence of any more facts then the advice to get a job, any job, is about as good as it will get.0 -

Weirdly none of my extended family or network of hundreds of friends who live there is currently unemployed. It is almost as though there actually is plenty of work available if you want it.0 -
