I have PPI on a car loan from Toyota Financial Services which was arranged through Dixons Motor Group but cannot find them in the list of banks on the tools on this site. How can I make my claim?

Send your complaint directly to Dixon's as they sold it to you.0

Tricky.
Dixons Motor Group went pop in 2007.

You wouldnt do as they are small firm and small firms dont appear on it. In these scenarios, you would complain the conventional way. Direct to the firm via email, in writing or by phone.
However, there is a snag.
Dixon Motor group is in receivership. There is also no company called Dixon Motor group on the FCA register. This means that either the name is wrong or they never became regulated in January 2005 when insurance regulation started.
The snag is that if you bought before 14th Jan 2005 then your complaint is likely to be over. You could try Toyota Financial Services as a small number of own brand dealer/finance companies do see the lender take liability. If its in the early 2000s, then the underwriter of the PPI may take the liability. If you are going back further then there is no-one to complain to.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Sorry, my original post was not very well worded. It is Toyota Financial Services who are not in the list on the claim tool on her a site.0

Toyota Motor Services didn!!!8217;t sell you the PPI though, the dealer did. That!!!8217;s why posters have advised your complaint would be against the garage (if they still existed). None of that makes TMS liable for the alleged mis-sale.0

You complain to the seller. not the lender. Only if the lender is the seller (i.e. the banks) would you complain to them.
With most car finances, the dealer is the seller.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
