Tesco Bank Direct Debits Removal - April 2018!

Hey All,

Tesco Bank has announced they will remove all direct debits from their savings accounts as of April 2018. I am fully aware that this issue has been brought up before.

That said, this imminent change will affect a lot of us, particularly those with several bank accounts requiring two or more active direct debits be paid monthly.

Has anyone found an alternative way to set up direct debits?

You cannot be that fully aware if you are only asking the question now. Please see the other threads linked to in your other post for the answer to your question

The only advice I can offer is not to waste time with the Post Office Online Saver unless you have absolutely no alternative.

Possibly the worst account opening process I've ever experienced and the worst customer services on top. NatWest's recent current account opening process was a piece of cake in comparison.

An application has been 'pending' for two weeks. It will never become an account. Nobody knows why, nobody is going to inform the customer the application hasn't worked. Nobody can offer the customer any suggestions how to stop the account being 'pending', nor whether there is any point applying again.

We will however ask you to "go through security" before you can be told the account is 'pending', even though no account exists and no security questions have been set up :rotfl::rotfl: We will then inform you that you've failed security when you do not correctly answer the questions we don't know the answers to ourselves. :wall:

If it wasn't so funny I think I'd be crying. :(
