Hi folks,
Is there an updated / recent view on which organisations would be able to help me through the transfer of foreign shares (NYSE) that I have in the US to the UK?
Presumably this would stay in US$.
Thanks!

What exactly do you mean by 'transfer' and what are you trying to achieve? You can hold shares traded on the US stock market without being in the US. If you wanted to hold similar shares in the UK, you would need to sell the US holding and purchase new shares traded on the UKSE.0

OK - so let's say I have tesla shares. They're with a US broker at the moment. I
Want to be able to keep them in my portfolio with a UK broker. Tesla doesn't trade on UKSE.
What UK brokerage can transfer shares from my US one and hold them here?5.41 kWp System, E-W. Installed Nov 2017

I have a Halifax Share Dealing account and they will accept in specie transfers from a US brokerage
Edited to add that all shares in foreign currencies are automatically converted to £ sterling0 -

Not something you can presume.
Or at least, if you did this the shares would come across as is but its later thats possibly the issue
If you sold them to buy some other US shares then not all brokers would provide a $ account you can trade in to avoid selling US $ shares, convert to £ and then when you buy convert the £ back to $. If you ever plan to do this you want them sold in $ remain in $ so you can use those $ to buy other $ shares.
I have such an account with iii. I dont know if HL provide a share dealing account like that. i do have a share trading account with HL but only trade in UK shares in that but on the face of it it doesnt appear to offer a US $ account.0 -
