Hi There
I have been told by MBNA following my claim that they have accounts in my name but as its prior to 2004 they no longer have the data on file and put it back to me to provide statements/proof of PPI.
I no longer have any statements, is there anyway of getting these?
Thanks
Dean

No. Your statements are not in the public domain. Only you and the firm have copies.
The firm is required to destroy data after a period of time. Many destroy statements after 6-10 years. Some hold longer.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Also with MBNA, I have found two statements, one each for two old accounts showing that I did make PPI payments.
What's my next step if I have the evidence?0 -

Have you complained you were miss-sold? If not, you have to do that first, your bank statements would be useful if they need evidence of what you paidSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
