I’ve just received a letter from Gladstone Solicitors.
Its a LBC, do I need to reply to this letter with another draft from this forum like I’d done previously or continue to ignore? The last LBC I had was from One Parking Solutions themselves but this one is from the well known solicitors :wall:0 -
Yes, you respond to the LBC
Are you sure it was a real LBC last time? AS to wait more than 6 months means it wasnt really a LBA...0 -
Can I use the same letter I sent to one parking solution?
It says LBC on the previous letter so I presumed it was :think:0 -
Any help would be massively appreciated0

Another letter from Gladstone’s.
It’s another LBC. It says in the event the outstanding debt is not paid in full, we are instructed to commence legal proceedings.
Help!?0 -
The whole industry is a scam, relying on threats of court, and the public's ignorance of the Law, A bill is currently before parliament which will regulate the scammers, many of whom are ex-clampers.
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors. Is has been suggested by an MP that some of these companies may have connections to organised crime.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, (especially Smart}, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week), hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers.
Sir Greg Knight's Private Members Bill to curb the excesses, and perhaps close down, some of these companies passed its Second Reading in the Lords this month, and, with a fair wind, will l become Law later this year..
All five readings are available to watch on the internet, (some 7-8 hours), and published in Hansard. MPs have an extremely low opinion of the industry. Many are complaining that they are becoming overwhelmed by complaints from members of the public. Add to their burden, complain in the most robust terms about the scammers. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Why do yo uneed help, when you know the nEWBIES thread has info on responding to LBCs?
An OBVIOUS response is: i responded to your LBC of X date with my letter of Y date requiring ABC info. I am confused why you have send a new LBC dated Z, which does nto answer anything of my points from Y date.
Please expalin your error, and respond to my letter of Y date within teh 30 days as required in the PAP for debt claims.0 -
Because I didn’t know how to respond to them. I had already responded to a LBC last time. I’m trying my hardest to read through as much of the newbies thread as possible.
I’m not the greatest at all with writing, let alone to these idiots. I may just pay it to be honest just to get them off my back.
Thanks for your help though0 -
I gave you a response above!
It is confusing, so you express that confusion in a way that makes it clear to a judge - if it ends up there - that Gladrags are incompetent or trying to mislead you - one of the two. ANd youre reiterating that they havent complied with the PAP as you havent had a response within 30 days as required.
Again, for the benefit of any court
Pay if you wish, but youre a fool if you do. Its only writing a few letters, and potentially (VERY potentially) half a day in court. All part of adulting.0 -
I may just pay it to be honest just to get them off my back.
People who pay, sponsor and fund the scam for the next 3 or 4 PCNs.
That is a huge shame, awful to join them and be the cause of more misery.
It's because people pay these that these firms still exist, and chose you this time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
