Did not get given a choice - just a letter from the management company informing us that there were now permits required...

Not allowed to do that without consultation and agreement of the leaseholders.

Are you a tenant or a leasehold owner?

Is this a Housing Association? If so, and they are a registered charity, complain to The Charity Commissioners.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.

    Leasehold owner.

I would love to know legalities as would like to fight the MA for the parking people to be got rid of.

I'm writing my POPLA appeal - there are 2 boxes, each with 2000 word limit so I'm unable to just copy and paste template appeals from on here?

Thank you for all your help!

Please search the forum for 2000 characters POPLA before one of us regulars self combusts!!

Also, why are you even on the POPLA website yet, before you've even read post #3 of the NEWBIES thread? Before you have read you put it in as a PDF uploaded under 'other' and before you have even shown us the draft?

Why do you think there are long POPLA templates, if no-one can enter more than 2000 characters?! Obviously that is NOT an issue. Stop rushing. Read the info here already.

Had read it but not noticed this: "These then get saved as PDFs and uploaded to POPLA under OTHER (ONLY) - do not think you only have 2000 characters in some box on the POPLA wepage!"

    Thanks!!

If using the signage appeal grounds do you have to upload photos of signs at location?

Also at the POPLA appeal is it worth stating that there was a permit in the vehicle that had slipped?
