One possible option is the course lets you ask questions and they want to be able to see the person asking the question.

Another option is that maybe they want to stop you buying one place on the course but then having a few people all sat around the PC all doing the course.

I just bought the PRICE2 training WITH EXAM from balance global but when I go to the courses it says "it does not include exam". I have tried contacting the customer services but the offices are closed (open weekdays only). I tried contacting the tutor but replies so far.
I have not received any emails with the code to book the exam either.


If it is not with EXAM then it's not really worth it. Have I just been conned? .... panicking ...

If you have emails or screenshots which say WITH EXAM, the first thing is to email them asking where your exam is.........
And ask them when you have to take your exam. A common ruse of these firms is to limit the time you have to take the exam, but not broadcast this. My provider said I had to take it within 180 days of registration and tried to say time had run out when I booked it. (I won. And passed.)

IIRC you can now do the exam from your own computer and they use the webcam to make sure you aren't cheating

Thanks, I have got the email now with a code to book the exam. You are correct that there is a time limit of 180 days, but I think they have made it quite clear everywhere around the website.

I'm also looking to complete an online course in Prince2. Speaking to some of these training companies has been a bit like dealing with that certain type of double-glazing salesperson... I keep getting called back with reduced offers and half price deals!


This seems to be the best so far - it's from an accredited training firm who are well known for this type of training... How does it look?...


Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner online training, course book and exams for each.
Agile Foundation and Practitioner online training, course book and exams for each.
Scrum (cant remember which version) online training and exam.


They have offered all of the above for £1070 + VAT (£1284.00).


Access to the online courses for all five modules would be available for 12 months, online tutor available etc.



Essentially, they said if I purchased the Prince2 and Agile courses, they would include Scrum as the sweetener. They were very confident this couldn't be beaten and it seems pretty reasonable to me, but I just wanted to get a few opinions before I make a commitment.

Searching around - found TheKnowledgeAcademy, £780 - had a phone call from what I an only describe as a "Cheesy Double Glazing Salesperson" - had 5 phone calls from them in 5 mins, aweful experience. Will keep looking for alternative providers.

About Balance-Global company's online courses: 2 or even 1 star out of 5. Poor Poor! As a private individual (not a company): slow responses to questions posted on their tutorials, sometimes not even answered. Pushy with selling more. Sales not genuinely concerned with your progress. Prices are high even though they pay at discount rate for exam vouchers. Their teaching material add not much value to getting the syllabus yourself from the examining board and using official text for studying. Their materials complement but do not enhance your learning experience. Shop around for lower prices or buy the official text book and from the governing body of your topic, obtain the syllabus and use their official past practice publicly available exam papers to practice. You can even buy the exam voucher directly from the examining boards websites but ATO (accredited teaching organisations) can get them at a cheaper price, so shop around. Customer service is inaccurate, slow, hostile at times. Hostile even once is not good.
