Instant Voucher Issue - Refund

I purchased Instant Voucher from 3rd Party to pay for meal at restaurant.
T&C’s did not state any restrictions on use of Instant Voucher.
Restaurant attempted to process voucher however till would not accept - General Manager advised that Vouchers were not accepted on Sunday.
Therefore I had to pay in cash for meal that I had already purchased voucher.
3rd Party is now refusing to refund voucher as they state they do not refund vouchers.
Is this covered under Consumer Rights Act?
Any ideas how I can get refund?

Do you have a link to the voucher? This would be covered under the CRA if as you say there were no restrictions.
You tried to use the voucher on a day that fit within the contract and couldn't use it so it's not as described.0 -
Cannot link to site as it’s Company Benifit site operated by 3rd Party however T&C state:Terms & Conditions
1. Vouchers are valid for use at participating Company Locations!including: Various Restaurants.!Please note that vouchers cannot be used in Restraunt X or other franchised restaurants.
2. If you don’t spend your voucher in full the remaining balance will be available for future purchases.
3.!We’re sorry, but we cannot provide refunds for Instant Vouchers.
Removed company details as unsure if I should disclose
3rd Party are saying it’s non refundable however agree T&C are incorrect however as Restaurant won’t refund they won’t.0 -
We'd need to see the full Ts and Cs, not just a snippet.
I got a complimentary LovetoShop card (I think it was that company) from my employer a few years ago. It gave up to like 50% off or 2for1 on meals at local restaurants which I regularly used.
Most restaurants, however, specifically excluded Fridays, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays in the offer. This was in the small print underneath the particular restaurant and it was also highlighted through use of a specific icon. In short, it was fairly visible.
I'm just wondering whether the same sort of thing applies here?
Either way, you'll probably need to speak to CAB/solicitor here more than anything because the snippet of Ts and Cs you provided is not exhaustive (or provide us with a full link, which may not be possible). If there is literally no mention of specific day exclusions then I think you've got a good case for pushing for a refund, as they breached their side of the contract by providing you with vouchers which were deemed invalid despite nothing suggesting that. If they have mentioned it on the website then, well, tough luck.0 -
That is the Full Terms & Conditions that they list on the website.
Offer is to purchase Instant Voucher at a Discount of 10% i.e. £10 voucher for £9.
3rd Party are stating that they are a 3rd party company and are also under terms and conditions of the restaurant. They do not seem to understand that my contract is with them and not the restaurant.
Initially the 3rd Party refused stating that Restaurant does not provide refunds however are now stating they are waiting for updated response from Restaurant - have already been waiting a week to resolve.0
