Halifax switching date

Hi I'm new to the forums. I was thinking of switching to Halifax for the £125 switch bonus. Does it matter which switch date I choose for the switch bonus?

Hi you'll need to get your skates on, current offer ends 23.59 tonight.
When I opened my account via phone this morning, switch process had to be started straight away, I was given a switch date of 28/2/18 for full switch completion.

the phone number I called to set up account/switch was 0345 720 3040,
starts off with an automated system but you do end up speaking to a Human!

So as long as I apply to switch today I will get the bonus? Does the actual switch date matter?

I would phone NOW to set the wheels in motion, online some people are delayed for a few days b4 account opened, in my case this morning I was told switch had to be started straight away and quoted 7 working days.
Worth checking with the person you speak to asking them to confirm you will still get the "Brucie Bonus"

Whilst you may be best to immediately initiate a switch, it doesn't have to be started straight away... you can choose a date in the future;
see 'switch on your terms' under 'what else do you need to know', or watch the video..:

Talked to a Halifax advisor. The switch date doesn't matter its the date you complete the switching form that matters (before 19 March 11:59pm for £125 offer).
