    You can get VM BB as a stand alone service and don't need to use their landline service if you don't want to. However, it usually works out cheaper if you have both. (Weird, I know!)
    I have 300Mb BB and the service has always been rock solid in my area.
    If you are used to Freesat, just get a dish fitted (around £90), one off payment and relax.

    Freesat every time take your boxes, there may be a dish on site perhaps?

    No dish on site, but that's OK. I just discovered that you can get an Octo LNB, so I wouldn't even need to get an aerial /Freeview setup. Can get up to 8 Freesat feeds.

    If you have FTTC you still have a landline..it's how the signals get from the PCP to your house...I doubt very much you'll get FTTP, but it's still a "landline" as such..
