NCP Greenwich Parking Fine

Hi, back in November I received a PCN from NCP Greenwich for an unauthorised stay. I did try to pay for the parking at the pay station and via the app but it wouldn't let me... I still needed to park there as I was needed in a meeting.

I appealed to NCP and they just sent me an automatic reply rejecting the appeal. I then received letters from ZZPS debt recovery, I called them to state my case but they just told me they were debt recovery. I then received letters from QDR solicitors threatening to go to CCJ... I read some of the previous threads and many of you say do not pay but i just wanted some piece of mind that if I leave it will I be ok?

Have QDR actually sent you an LBA which complies with the recently revised CPR? If you have received a threatening letter from a solicitor make a complaint to the SRA.

The low rent law firms employed by PPCs consistently and deliberately fail to conform to CPR or their Code of Conduct in their letters before action in order to confuse/put pressure on motorists.

Two of them have been reported to the SRA by an MP for unprofessional conduct, so the more complaints against this firm the more likely they are to be sanctioned.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for alleged breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
